چکیده

Abstract Introduction/Objective Nodular fasciitis is a rapidly growing but benign self-limited myofibroblastic/fibroblastic tumor of unknown etiology. It was first described in the literature by Konwaler 1955 and can occur any location. tongue rare entity infancy with only one case reported so far. Accurate diagnosis this crucial to avoid possible misdiagnosis malignancy leading radical resections. Methods/Case Report A 6-month old, previously heathy full term male presented pediatric otolaryngology clinic painless mass on right tongue. The associated feeding difficulty. There no history trauma area, personal family cancer noted. Computed tomography scan demonstrated 1.5 x 1.4 cm confined anterior undersurface Biopsy showed ulcerated mucosa an underlying spindle cell lesion composed reactive-appearing myofibroblasts arranged variably fascicular "tissue-culture" pattern, intermixed inflammatory cells scattered extravasated erythrocytes. These morphologic features conjunction immunohistochemistry demonstration fusion SRSF3 [serine arginine rich splicing factor 3] USP6 [ubiquitin specific peptidase 6] Targeted next-generation RNA sequencing confirmed nodular fasciitis. On follow up, spontaneous regression occurred 3 months. Results (if Case Study enter NA) NA. Conclusion exceedingly demonstrates importance including unique differential rapidly-growing lesion. Because it simulate both clinically histologically, awareness familiarity proliferative effective management.
